What about PD's for CBs? Probably the most telling stat for them as opposed to tackles, which could be good (tackling running backs out of the backfield) or bad (letting your man catch it then tackling him).

In that case, I'd like to just comment on some of Fiji's stats. Think of their DTs like most teams think of safeties. If they're making a lot of tackles, something's going wrong. The reason we have so few tackles is that a lot of teams stopped running inside against us.

Throckmorton P Gildersleeve doesn't get double teamed.... until our DEs start dominating and the AI takes one of the three guys off Gildie to help deal with rest of the line.

I second Gildersleeve after playing against him.

He are the players I would like to see honored:

Mouse Gonzalez (ST) - Pretty much our special teams "gunner", his tackles/play has to be close to tops in the league

Dirty Mo Posse (RB) - Led the conference in rushing 2nd year in a row

Ari Walsh (WI)- 3rd in the conference in rushing as a back-up

Alex Stepanovich/Brick Singletary - Starting LT/RT for a line that allowed 3 sacks all season and blocked for the conference's top statistical running team.

Dat Dude (CB)- 2nd in the league in PD, 4th in tackles, T6 in interceptions

Just an idea:

A TFL column for DEs, DTs and LBs would be good.

Apologies, they aren't on the leader page!! I had thought they were. So the only way to see TFL's is to sort through each individual player... Ack.

That's why I thought it might be a little much work, although I suppose if you know the players and team it might not be that bad. And I suppose if an owner or player or something wanted to make a case for someone, they could always post their TFL numbers here as well.

are you saying that it's bad for a DT to make a lot of tackles because that doesn't make any sense to me. That means the LBs are free to roam around and not have to worry about a DT getting blocked and put out of the play.

If the DT makes a tackle then the RB usually makes at best a short gain.

My DT has the most tackles out of all DTs in the entire league (65) thank you very much. Maybe opponents think they can run inside on him but find out they can't depite giving him the dbl team.
I've got plenty of evidence to support my claim

but I agree that it isn't good to see the safties making as many tackles as LBs if that was your intended point

I'm not saying it's bad... just saying it's a bad indicator of the DL for the Sea Turtles. Ask our last three or four opponents how often they tried running between the tackles.

Hey my WR also had 146 rushing yards and 3 TDs. Why is that not included?

They're only going by stats visible on the league leaders board. Which makes sense and saves time.

I made my TFL comment before reading through the thread to find that out.
