I've found the spot blitz SA really helps this. My guy seems to zero in pretty good each time a LB blitzes. On straight lead blocking, it's tough to tell. I've wondered for awhile if the sim plays are setup for the FB to be assigned to a defender to block, whether he's already covered or not.

Most plays do tend to get blocked the same when they are run again, even if some minor blocking misses or pickups change.

That's something that I had actually not considered. Interesting...

If so the sim of it is abysmal since even on a fake you don't run headlong into the NT, and none of the other team ever seem to bite on it either so...

Well, yeah, that's true.

I think this is a glitch with the game. The LG is trying to pull and everyone else is blocking down. Guards don't pull properly or quickly enough to be effective. The other thing is this game is fascinated with double-teaming the NT. Even if the RG has him blocked, the game still demands he be double-teamed. I wouldn't spend too many points on vision until these problems are fixed.

you say that, but you don't have a FB?

vision is good for FBs. pay real close attention sometime and you may see a FB leave his initial block....

I agree, I think its just the way the sims are run, a lot of plays have the FB help block the NT, even when its not necessary. In the NFL, you mainly see the NT draw double teams because they're the biggest and strongest, and pose the largest threat to the QB or RB. However in GLB the FB seems to assume this all too often without actually considering where a block would be better placed.

Aside from the problem with FBs charging at the NT, I noticed this while looking at a FB's build I saved:

Most of the off-tackle runs to the right side resulted in the FB retreating to the backfield like that. Has anyone else had that problem?
