Oh I know, people love that scene. But it pisses me off. I have a pet peeve for things like that in movies. I mean, great idea, funny logic battle that goes south, but they could have done the EXACT same thing in effect and still catered to me by making it at least logically valid. They could have pleased the full audience including the anal critics like myself, no reason to count us out of it.

Just like the last Indiana Jones last movie, great action, great pace, entertaining, but c'mon did you really have to have 5000 machine gun bullets within a 50 foot radius all miss him?? I have no problem with him evading machine gun bullets, but c'mon at least TRY to be sensible to think that 1 out of 5000 point blank shots from a machine gun with a point that is spreading out evenly over all areas could hit him at least once. It's just ridiculous and unnecessary.

If you guys like games of wits similar to that scene in the movies, then a good movie to check out is Deterrence with Kevin Pollak as the President. It's a pretty good movie and has an interesting back and forth decision process from the President in a game of nuclear war, if you like really high stakes battles! Of course if you have seen the movie don't post any spoilers, but that's a pretty neat movie that has some parallels to this scene.

I also don't recall having any criticisms on the plot line that they had for that situation.

I am soo like this guy in real life, except far wiser, much smoother, and more handsome.

He's a guy that just thinks he has infallible logic, whereas I actually do. That character would get destroyed by me in a battle of the wits, just as he got destroyed by Cary Elwes' character.

TSE, you are a true villain! i'm writing some fan fiction about you now. "TSE and the Citadel of Terror"
