*The projections are probably a little off. Zeta seems to be weighted stronger....probably cause we had easier cupcakes to beat up on.

See the post above. I was in a hurry when I put the scores in.

So if I understand the process correctly and everything follows the spreadsheet's plan, the final Alpha playoff spot will come down to a 3 way tie with AWC, Cope, and E-City, with E-City getting the nod due to having scored the most points.

Is that right?

That puts the playoffs like this.

Alpha:
1. Berlin
2. Woodridge
3. Valhalla
4. FTA
5. London
6. Lake Charles
7. Wembley
8. E-City

Zeta
1. Frankfurt
2. MA Trolls
3. Reykjavik
4. Valencia
5. Rorhrheim
6. Korb
7. Rotterdam
8. Paris

Sorry, E-City still would have more points than all of them.

More points than who? They are currently more than 50 points behind the Mercenaries. However, I was led to believe that first tie breaker would be results against each other and only then points scored come into play??

yeah if its a two way tie, its the head to head as the tie break. if its a 3+ way tie, then it goes to points scored. If that is a tie also, then it goes to points allowed

If Nice, AWC, E-City, and Cope all finish 8-8, here's the story:

Nice has losses to AWC and Cope with a win over E-City. (1-2)
AWC has a loss to Cope and wins over E-City and Nice. (2-1)
Cope has a loss to E-City and wins over AWC and Nice. (2-1)
E-City has losses to AWC and Nice with a win over Cope. (1-2)

E-City has more points than any, but they are also playing the #1 Zeta team, so, no offense, but I'm chalking that up as a loss.

Having said that, I thought the decision making would work like this:

Overall Record
H2H Record
Points

If that's true, Nice is done. E-City would get the spot if all 3 (E-City, AWC, Cope) others lose or win (which is the scenario the spreadsheet is depicting..the losses I mean). If either AWC, or Cope win and E-City does lose, they are out. If AWC wins, they need Cope to lose because of the H2H. If Cope wins (and all that other mess does come true...E-City loses), it doesn't matter if AWC wins or not, Cope gets the spot by virtue of the H2H.

Is that right or does it just go to overall record and then points scored (in which E-City gets the spot regardless of losing to 2 of the 3 teams they are tied with).

This is all very confusing.

I still wouldn't count Nice out though. I think the level of competition favors the possibility of Nice closing that gap and making it close, regardless what the projector says. Then again, the Mercs are a strong team and I wouldn't be surprised if they can hang with Frankfurt, at least enough to stay up over Nice if they blow SGPO out.

No way this is going to happen !! We will score at least 6 points.
We have an excellent kicker.

I believe if the H2H tiebreakers are intertangled like that it goes to points scored. Nice's matchup against a weak Zeta team gives them an advantage over AWC and Cope if it goes to points. E-City may still be a longshot for them though.

Basically, if more than 2 teams end up with the same record, and the H2Hs don't settle it (i.e., team A beat team B and loss to team C, but team B beat team C) then it goes to points. That's why we can't count Nice out yet if they all end up 8-8. But you're right, assuming E-City loses, Cope controls it's own destiny.
