Self made ringers, what in the fuck is that?

Sorry TSE, but you've lost all right to call people out after you refused to bet me not once, but twice. Shows you have no faith or balls in your own team yet you come in here to pick on Tim Harper who kicked your ass?

I can't imagine a better way for that game to have ended than my two arch rivals in a tie ball game, but Tim beat you so kindly shut up and take it to the playoffs where it really matters.

Don't call people out when you get called out and back down twice yourself, big fella.

FLAMES HAHA... LOL thanks for making an appearance but I'm not going to comment on your comment beyond saying that you don't remotely deserve a response, because just in your very few sentences above you are stating mistruths and inaccuracies on a number of things.

So feel free to erase it all and right something that isn't fundamentally incorrect in more than 3 ways so that we can have a logical discussion, or you get no response from me.

Hey smart guy it's write, not right.

^^If I'm not mistaken, didn't Tim do all of the above?

Recruiting - check
Tactics Set - check

Nope, he has recruited MOST of a team, short of 6 players. No checkmark, thus he's not eligible for props. Again, he doesn't so far seem to indicate he's worried about gaining props from me, and I don't expect him to. It's easier to dismiss what I say and face one less obstacle in his way of winning the game which is just fundamentally different than how i view the game.

This thread is not GLB LAW, this thread is about just making sure that if somebody wants to act in the future like they've accomplished something, well make sure you follow a sensible recipe to deserve qualifying in the first place before you waste your time.

But you have a giant chunk that is not subject to the inherent challenges of various constructs within the game in the form of your own "ringers" as I have referred to them, thus you can win games all day and every year, but you aren't earning them in the "art of gaming" in my eyes. So would you call Paul Blake a ringer? If not, then what is the number of your own players on 1 team before you call them ringers?

Now you can pretend I don't exist, and thus nothing is changed for you then, you can win a lot of regular season games, make some playoff wins, gather some trophies, and you can feel accomplished, but they won't be filled with my accreditation. Easy enough to dismiss that and say it's not relevant, and i don't contend that you should care for that, just saying in my book you haven't accomplished much until you earn that from me. Do you send out certificates of accreditation? Can somebody possibly suggest this for a future update? Is there a reason he should be trying to earn your approval?

A team like KZoo, they could earn that. It would be tough and unfortunate to see our team go to the final game and loose and have to see them walk off with the glory, but I'm a good sport and I will extend them my full honors for they would have achieved a victory in the "art of competition". Doesn't sound much like a good sport if you pick & choose who you are extending your full honors to after a defeat.

So yeah the trophies will look the same to everybody on the site either way, just not how I value them, which to me a validated trophy earned by another team that took it from me is worth 10x more if it has substance within it.

You're probably going to have a heart attack when you go up against a team where the same agent owns the team along with every single player on it. Talk about ringers!

Welcome to the world of internet message boarding of people who spend 10 hours typing and go blind from so much tedious staring at the screen, it's an honest and non-deliberate mistake that doesn't discredit my intelligence level.

If they aren't first original players, that's fine, because THAT owner can recruit better players than his own anytime which costs him more than the maintaining of players, he's got no breach of a fair game, bring it on, hope you created a lot of good players then!

i.e. if he's giving up 5 levels of talent just to have a certain maintained squad, well shit, I'll give that guy double props for really pulling off an underdog win!

Either way, point out what was not accurate about my comments?

No, I like Tim, he seems like a cool guy.

Like I said he seems like the Matt Damon character, cool guy full of potential, but wasting it and never giving us a true look at what may or may not be there.

Bullshit.
HoggLife half-boosted to beat you (and beat you soundly), yet there's no props for that underdog win.

I wouldn't have to sugar coat it if you would have manned up and played us straight up! Don't blame me for your chickening out.

Doesn't sound like props to me.
The guy said he was going to beat you all season.
Everybody laughed.
He manned up, took the future XP hit, and owned the Lions.

This reminds me a little of how my Colorado Switchbacks went back and forth with the Portland Wildcats in cyberdunk. OregonCat had something like 6 players out of 10 total on his (basketball) team. But this is different. Although I agree having 6 players of your own on your team can help your cause, I don't think it makes as big a difference with the size of a football team of 38 total players.

However Tim does his business, I like the Chicago Mustangs because they present a challenge. That's all I want in a game like this...that is, as long as I eventually win a championship, lol.

So you're mad that Tim has 6 guys on his team that are "first season players" ??

Don't forget the Rimrockers mixed in with that as well. Ah the good old days of CD. Good three team rivalry going on there though.

But yeah good luck on your way to the championship here though, should be a fun playoffs.

I don't think we ever beat the Rimrockers.

and I don't miss CD at ALL. It was just a guessing game to get the right matchups at each position. I don't care to spend money on a guessing game.
