Personally, I was thinking 105-106 strength with 90+ blocking and 90+ agility with the run blocker tree filled out (except pancake because the general consensus seems to be that it's useless). 3 AEQ, maybe even four - 3 hold block pieces and cut block maybe? I would assume you'd want Aura/Pummel as well

Those numbers sound good to me, no Pancake and just hit the first 3 SAs hard instead for the Run Blocking tree. Aura/Pummel being a no brainer for me, too. Excited to bring back a 90% Big I (maybe SBB instead) power run game to the table starting next season

I really like the idea of an offense that relies significantly on Big I (and GL). Something like this

OTx4
OGx4
bTEx3

Typically, my teams have run with 3 guards. Using 4 of them would allow them to stay fresher and keep draining morale and stamina. Maybe you could put Pummel and Aura on the bTEs as well and then line up with the nastiest power back you can build. Maybe you could do something unorthodox with extra strength for more tackle breaking power and line him up with a power rushing QB for outside runs. Just spitballing here

I did it. All my players are open. Like I say, teams just load up with power LBs and you rush for 2 ypc.

aura/pummel for the TEs is the plan too, more aura where they may hit more than one dot at a time with it being my thought. Was thinking Speed/Strength with Dive 4 Yards at 10+ and just see what happens, with an outside running QB to keep the box more honest.

Someone mentioned boring but if it works then it's likely the most exciting game I could imagine, owning the clock and outgrinding. I like TJ's idea of bringing more Strength to the OL than usual as well. Makes sense to me now that I know the DT always gets a shot at the tackle if he's near enough despite being engaged in a block. Push to get space via SAs

I may try it with a 90% Single Back Big approach instead, again with 3 bTEs or maybe 4 since I won't need a single FB. Probably more of an edge running team in that case. Or maybe not since the SBB has several run plays where HB hits the LOS pretty quick and just hope 12+ Dive 4 Yards is enough to keep pounding on 3rd and 5 on a regular basis

I'm just trying to save you 6 months of trouble and tell you that it won't work. Against the top flight teams in my league we have scored exactly 0 total points this season.

But true. Those days of that working have been over for quite some time now.

On the plus side, that 2 blitzing CB defense is a thing of beauty when it's working. Did you consider more a hybrid blitz/cover build for the CB4 spot because I really like the idea

I appreciate it, on paper I'm doing something different now, more SBB as a theme. Likely able to do more passing this way as well.

It’s CB3 and CB5. I have some blitz read plays where the assignment is HB weak or blitz and HB strong or blitz for the other, so one covers the HB and the other blitzes. I do several variations but just depends on the formation and the team. Covering HBs isn’t really rocket science. It’s just speed and tackling them for a short gain once they catch the ball, which they do about 90% of the time.

Thanks very much - that's really helpful and I love the creativity! Your two CBs almost killed us the other day

Pardon my ignorance but wouldn’t this be a sign of something being broken?
