Definitely and a big +1 since he only has 3 dots under his name and seems to have a lot of multiple personalities that build more dots than just 3.

My head cannon is for basic SA's that situationally improve 2 attributes, it'll be 0.5 per attribute per point.

And my head cannon for basic SA's that situationally improve 1 attribute, it's 1 per attribute per point.

I think if considering this game was coded by bort assuming people would take SA's early and not considering compounding ALG's would make SA's a end-gane only add, my head cannon assumption above is reasonable.

So I'd say...

10 blitz = 5 spd and 5 agility
10 route run = 5 spd and 5 agility (I did some testing and this is roughly backed up by the speed script on speed wr that have 10 route run, SA penalty, and slot machine buff)

10 pass block = 10 blocking on passes
10 run block = 10 blocking on runs

To. Extrapolate further, something like scat back with 3 attributes, I assume is a 3 way split. Since scat back is known to be more catching focused, I assume 0.25 spd, 0.25 agi, 0.5 catching.

10 scat back = 2.5 spd, 2.5 agi, 10 catching


This basically means for people pumping that attribute super high, it's always gonna be more economical to invest in the SA. And for the flat bonus SA's, it's almost mathematically impossible that for example 4 pts in the SA isn't a huge value.

You should always take into account the multiplying factors (plus and minus) of red and green on the trees, when investing...

Taking something into account is not the same as ignoring it. I like to assume penalty SA's at a 30% penalty, but to each their own.

A 164 spd wr with 10 route run (penalty SA) is measurably faster than a 166 spd wr

I don't think so. Hazy (catch22) was someone with access to code, and should not be considered a reliable source of truth when he made a page blasting GLB after he got fired from his 40k/year job.

Bort refuted both that the % was +/-40%, as well as refuting that it's the same bonus/penalty across all SA's.

In my head I assumed 20% before the hazy scandal, and adjusted that to 30% after it.

Depends on the SA. Keep in mind when "Extra SA's" were introduced, Bort didn't go back and reword any of the SA descriptions...

As a general rule, VA's were written to be multi-position so their position restrictions will be mostly correct, while SA's that are added as an extra SA might not be.

So Blitz = Works out any pass rusher
Route Run = Works on anyone running a route
The Dline/Oline/QB general SA's only work in that exact position
Aura of Intimidation mentioned defense but works on all players on both sides of the ball

Does a DE blitz though? It sounds like that VA is meant for someone who is an extra rusher.. A back 7 guy.

I am not hunting for Bort quotes, but this is something we already 100% know the proper interpretation of.

We are talking about the Blitz SA (not VA) for clarity.
