As someone who took quite a few bazooka blasts to the face from jdbolick over the years... well... don't know if I want him back or not, and I always found it curious that someone who claimed to be as smart as he did had so few rings. But to say he contributed "nothing of value" is dead wrong. If you were going to argue with jdbolick, you had to have your shit together, or he was gonna roast you, and sometimes some people on here just needed a good roasting. He knew a lot, and as cantankerous as he could be, he never held back his knowledge.

I saved my PM's I had with him. They're not only a good chuckle but even got good info in them. He blistered me in the forums regularly but I just kept pluggin away until, one time, he sent me a PM and that's how it started. I'm betting he regretted sending me that PM because I picked at his brain for months and questioned most everything. I'm still questioning things. Always will. Can't accept that we've got everything completely figured out. Thar's gold in them thar dots.

his player building guide is the best I have seen

He certainly did have success. Others had more success but didn't act like they knew everything the way he did, nor did they act as uncivilly on the forums as he did.

But for all the harm he did, he did a lot of good too.
