I finished with 76 energy with 11 stamina doing what DaveTN said (Putting all Pts in stregth) with 50 plays

The guide they have on player builds saying you need 20+ Stamina by level 2 is bs imo

I'm slow building my player as well. I'm gonna get a roll of strength of 20 and train it to 30 and then get it to somewhere around 60 or 70.

Ok, I'm not sure of the math w/ respect to slow-building. Due to the stamina issue, it seems to me you have two choices:

1) Spend 10 pts on stam at creation and train your primary attributes while you "slow-build" your player; or

2) Spend those 10 pts on your primary attributes and train stam.

If you put those 10 pts into stam, with the idea of slow-building your player, you're betting that the incremental bonus that you get by slow-building will exceed those 10 pts -- a highly dubious proposition, particularly if you plan on dumping pts into the primary attributes as soon as you get enough to soft cap them at 60.

Now the concept of not putting any pts into stam, pumping STR immediately and then training stam, makes much more mathematical sense -- particularly with respect to DT's. But the idea of not putting pts into STR or stam at creation is recipe for disaster.

Getting stamina to 20 seems like the right decision though. I couldn't get a roll where it wasn't 10.

What about training it to 15, and just adding 5. That seems like a good idea.

I never did any of that spreadsheet stuff you were talking about mainly because I don't have excel or any type of program that has a spreadsheet and I don't know how to set it up so I don't know the math behind getting the best use out of your SPs.

I put 10 points in str and 5 into stamina. That gave me 15 stamina and I have had two games so far. First game I was in on 30 plays. Second game after a couple of nights training stamina I was in on 48.

Personally, I think I will continue with this route on all new players.

That is basically what I do. I train Stamina and use my points for Strength (for a DT) to get it to the soft cap of 48 asap.

Under the new system, the best DT roll that I've gotten is +19 (the aggregate surplus of STR, AGI and Tackling over the base 10). I think it was STR 19, AGI 15 and Tackling 15.

My DT when rolled had 21 Strength, 17 Agility and 12 Tackling for a +20.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=665247

I have trained him the first two nights on Strength so that he can hit his 48 soft cap as a level 3 player.

21 + 0.37 + 0.37 + 0.66 + 0.66 + 15 still on hand from creation + 10 he will have from leveling twice = 48.06

He will now train Stamina on normal exclusively the rest of this season.

0.52 + 0.51 + 0.50 + 0.49 + 0.48 + 0.47 + 0.46 + 0.46 + 0.45 + 0.45 + 0.44 +0.43 + 0.43 + 0.42 equals the remaining fourteen days of this season where he can train = +6.51 Stamina.

So to sum it all up: End of season Jackson will be a level 4 DT. The 5 skill points he gets at level four are divided with 4 into Agility and 1 into Stamina. Here is how he will look as a level 4 without any equipment on:

Strength: 48.72
Agility: 22.32
Stamina: 17.11
Tackling: 13.32

In my opinion the above is one heck of a build for a level 4 DT.

Beyond that is season four where he begins to round out his skills more with improvements through training his tackling and placing his points up through level 8 at a ratio of 4:1 Agility and Stamina. I won't do all of the exact math but he should look something like this for a level 8 without equipment:

Strength: 51.36
Agility: 40.96
Stamina: 21.91
Tackling: 20.96

Now he finds a home on a human team, gets his level 8 equipment and I spend the flex to have him in full custom with a SA tree. Equiped level 8:

Strength: 65.36
Agility: 40.96
Stamina: 21.91
Tackling: 20.96

Thanks for doing the math behind what I was wondering. I don't understand though how you get all the +strength from two nights of training. Are the first 2 from training and the other 2 from leveling up?

21 - His base STR at creation.
+ 0.37 - Train STR on Intense
+ 0.37 - Train STR on Intense
+ 0.66 - Added to STR from becoming level 2
+ 0.66 - Added to STR from becomming level 3
+ 15 still on hand from creation
+ 10 he will have from leveling twice
= 48.06

No. Grizzly is at 42.41 Strength without his equipment on. When he levels again to level 3, he will have 43.08 and I'll place his five points there as well making his Strength 48.08 and then his equipped Strength will be 58.08

Jimenez looks great so far.

Train his Stamina on intense every night his energy is at least 95. If his energy is lower than 95 but at least 80 then train his Stamina on normal. If his energy is lower than 80 then train his Stamina on relaxed. Train Stamina every night for the rest of this season and by next season he will be getting great playing time and experience in the d-leagues.

Accutally by the time you see this he'll be level 3 probally (levels up after daily training)

Ive trained Stamina every night and have been putting all points into STR.

Over 3 games he's gotten

2 Tackles 1 Hry 1 TFL 1 FF - Not to shabby
