Yeah, the effect of agility vs the defender is not so much capped as it is a case of the defender having his own separate 'thing' going on. You could have 150 Agility and all the SA's and VA's you can grab but that 'lag time' you speak of is more based off of the Defender's skill set than your effect on it. However, I would ponder how 85 agility combined with say... 150 speed? compares to an identical speed dot with 90 agility... when your dot makes a hard turn (like an out route or an in route that has that 90 degree turn). Does he keep more of his speed (as he should) or is the difference so negligible that it really doesn't matter at all? That's the ONLY reason I'd want the higher number, really. Not for the effect on the defender but the ability to keep all my speed when I make a hard move.

Imo, that's the job of SAs. Quick Cut for Speedsters and Route Run for Possession guys.
I think that's a big part of why rTEs can be so dominant... Green in both cutting SAs.

SA's really help, true. But just considering skills, Agility is what lets you keep your speed when making a hard cut/turn. Still, what using SA's like you posted, I'd bet you could save some SP's on agility and go with a lesser value and still get good results.

Juke and Catch Fake matter more than any other SA's for a RTE

True for a speed based RTE but I'm not sure how effective they'd be for a Power arch which is built much more like a Possession WR with not enough speed to get separation from the defenders. Which is why keeping the speed on hard cuts is going to get the receiver open more than anything else and even then only for a brief moment then the defender is going to close down on him again. I'm building for a lot of contested 'jump catches' where he'll probably be tackled shortly after the catch.

the fakes help get him open
if they can't get open, the rest doesn't matter

Yeah, he won't get targets. He could be 8 foot 8 with 125 jumping and the QB won't throw to him unless he has separation, and that won't happen unless he has the speed of a speed receiver or the fakes reddogrw was talking about.

I usually aim for 90+, though lately I have been thinking about 85 or so. Maybe even 80 if it lets other skills and SA's be pumped. Lately I've been wondering how much I can get away with, but know that something else will have to be bumped to compensate.

I've gotten away with 88 agility (my lowest for my Power WR builds). I've net felt brave enough to go lower still.
