Maybe the tie breaking formula was never updated when the league changes were made and all it sees is the last game the two teams played as the tie breaker, wouldn't be that shocking tbh.

1-1 between us and BDS, and we allowed less points. Yet we are #2

What's most likely happening is:

Until the playoff games start, all teams affected are "tied" since there's more games to be played and losses could happen. Since the league list is vertical, it looks like teams are already ranked, when they're not.

That is not how it worked in the past. Previously, teams were ranked during the season based on the same parameters as used for playoffs. I doubt that GLB now has one program to rank teams during the season and a different program to rank the teams for the playoffs. Something has changed. The question is what.

Cobden and Monks split the 2 games, Monks have allowed less points, yet Cobden is listed as the 1 seed.

They have a much better rushing QB
