It's not 'given', Shep... it's simply changing one little rule that effects one system (PeeWees) overall. Right now any dot can boost early (before day 48/end of season) and most do. PeeWee's simply have a rule in place that says a dot cannot be above level 0 when signed AFTER season starts. Removing that stipulation would allow PeeWee dot builders boost 'early' and still build PeeWee style dots and recycle them if so desired. ALL dots can boost early no matter what... it's just a matter of what dots can be signed by what teams.
IMO, the original rule was made LONG before we made changes to the dot building system... long before the game came out of BETA. Once they made those changes (to dot building), the reason for the rule (IMO) ceased to exist. The argument about it effecting PeeWee negatively is also (IMO) wrong.
Guppy is right that, if you build a dot to WIN PeeWee games, it's built differently than dots you build for the long haul. Still, people do keep their PeeWee dots (I use to) and take them to Plateau. They're not complete trash... just not quite WL quality. My argument for allowing early boosts for PeeWee's has little to do with making those dots more competitive on down the road... hell, it might even make them worse. But, for PeeWee dot builders and team owners, it sure would make PeeWee's more exciting and fun. (IMO again.)


I believe the main reason for the rule was to keep the cost of peewee down
