For example if it is speed you want to cap 1st, set weight so speed gets a +1.2 and add SP to speed so you start at 26.2.
Buy 1st star in speed, intense train 3x then buy 2nd star in speed. Intense train up to d48 and should just roll over to 33.2 speed.....add 15 SPs to cap at 48.2 pre boost.

why not just do the 15 BTs for an SP and have 49 pre boost?

also have to have +2 to the skill from height/weight.

Probably just so I can 3 star on d48 instead of using BTs for SP.

No it works with just +1.2 , but does not with +2

Weird I know

He means do the +2 so you hit 33 on d48 then spend 15 of the 18 BTs you have to buy 1 SP and cap at 49.

yea I know what he meant. But doing the +2 FORCES you to spend 15BT's on a SP to have 16SP and reach cap before boosting, where somehow if you only go with +1.2 from slider you can hit cap before boosting without buying a SP and still have 18BT left over. Only way I can guess that it works with just +1.2 is slightly better training gains early on allows you to roll that skill over once more.

It is due to better training gains and I prefer to spend 15 rather than 16 SP and still have 18 BTs left

I would have to run through VPB a few times to see if that actually is better or not in the long run, but I can understand your reasoning. The question would be in the long run which is better:

A) Hitting 49 and sitting at 81% trained but have spent that 15BT for a SP and not yet be at 3star enhanced

-or-

B) Be at 48.2 and just over 0% trained but be able to get the 3star enhancement

Nice info and methodology (?)....would I be right that thinking any "loss" would actually be a tiny %age of one of the lesser minors that loses out the 0.2 difference in height/weight .....?

Maybe. Remember that a tiny "loss" at this stage of the build can lead to a lower attributes later on not just in the minors. Majors could be a few points lower and you might not be able to get the amount of SA's you would want.

How do you get the VPB to only train 3 times instead of 4 times? I get the VPB to end at 32.2 but it ends as 97% which I think that proper training of the 4th would roll over to 33.something.

not sure I understand your question

probably because I didn't use the VPB to start the dots,I build them , do the training for test and then retire. The VPB only trains by the day, but I guess if you went to it with 24TP's already stored it would use them all up in 1 "next day" click. I'm not sure.

I ended up doing that in the end. When you start the VPB, it gives you the option to start from that stage of your build, or build a new playing position. If you click OK, then you go through the player build options. Once you get to the training, you've got 8 training points but you only get the option to train all of them at once as far as I can see. That's what I was referring to.

I wish I could say that what I do is original and all my idea but it's something I learned from another builder some time ago. Before you even do your very first train, enhance your training one star. Train on light. Enhance again to two stars, Commence intense training until you have 12 BT's built up. Light train one time and enhance to three stars. Return to intense training until day 48. I do think you have to do the max height/weight that gives your primary it's +2 bonus as well but I don't pay attention to that since it's kinda automatic to 98% of all my builds. I do seem to remember being puzzled when it didn't happen a couple of times (probably some 'experimental build' idea I tried) so that why I say that (that you need the +2 from height/weight).
