Fwiw I believe admins that more flex is bought for GLB2 than GLB1 at this point. They moved off of GLB1 because even with their changes the game had plateau and was declining to the point of not being profitable as their main cash cow. Whether the decline is due to the natural progression of a browser games life, or due to mis-steps is a different type of conversation, but I think it's safe to say WG wouldn't be moving off of GLB1 and focusing on other things if it was still the cash cow.

For better or worse, admin's view those still on GLB1 as bad/low value customers. The user base is largely toxic, the customers refuse to use new products WG produces. Many live purely off of recycled flex which was already purchased, so new purchases are low.

Imho WG should be looking at ways like what's posted in the OP, to make the GLB1 customers into good high value customers again, by enabling them ways/reasons to spend more money. If you just ignore GLB1 and treat all users like 2nd class citizens, there is a 0% chance those people change from low value customers, and it just feels like a waste of a lot of potential revenue.

This i agree with

Not helping plateau competitiveness because you are scared of hampering an already uncompetitive minors system doesn't make much sense. The minors exist to farm up plateau dots...

I didn't say it wasn't warranted. I was just wondering what the point is of pussy footing around everything in between? As for your last sentence. I have a dot with 10 seasons of plateau...how often am I farming dots on the side? How is that possibly worthwhile to keep leagues full of CPU's playing games for?

In other words, it has nothing to do with being scared or hampering competitiveness. It has to do with this idea being the poor mans insta dot idea.

Yes, pay too much money for dots waiting for them through 5 seasons of bullshit and ineptitude... then only have a few brief years of productivity before ya start the decline.

Precisely why tiered subscription plans would work imho

How about we lessen the effect of decline?

Do we get a refund for all of our current invested flex?

the game is pegged as an mmorpg football game...so that requires players to level up to acquire their abilities.....i guess that seems cool since it follows the rpg format...but what percentage of the user base plays because of that?

when the game had first started it seemed cool, because everybody was on the same page, and nobody knew what they were doing. now its a set it and forget it till they are 79. That might not be 100% of the users, but its got to be the vast majority. Couple that with the time required and it always loses some people along the way to lvl 79. Sometimes those people come back when they have the time, but now they have to start all over.

I recognize this is somewhat off topic, but I just dont understand why the game is played at anything but end build. Nobody really cares about lower levels, and there are not enough teams to have consistent competition.

If you think back to when you first started, how would things be different if you just created a player straight to level 79 from the start, instead of taking the level up method?

I'd be interested in an extended stay motel with a couple mid-20 blond hookers and a pound of blow

Great post wise - you MIGHT have used the phrase "WG makes money" enough that it would pique the admins curiousity, when did we actually have our last GLB poll?
