Oakland Supressinators @ Burnside Bandits

This is an opportunity that Burnside could really use. They’ve got a lot of losses to likely playoff teams, the better they do the better Round 1 matchup they’ll face (better for them that is). Trying to keep in perspective that these are WL teams, I’m not getting a great vibe for Burnside this week. They’ve coming in with quite a losing streak against quality teams. Like many teams in most seasons they are struggling to put together an efficient offensive game. Missed Tackles, the lack of a rushing attack, & turnovers have hurt them in their recent matchups so moving forward, they have to find a way to get their running game going, I think it all starts there. Even with a win here, they might not jump (depends on how tie breakers actually work, which I’m not real sure on in GLB). What I do know is this, Oakland played an efficient game last week, no turnovers, but also no real ‘glaring’ or break out performances. Their RBs ran respectably and by RBs I mean their HB & QB and actually their QB had more yardage with both getting into the end zone just once. So what do they need to do better in this game? Really I don’t think they necessarily need to do anything better however they can’t do anything poorly. Turnovers could derail the efficiency of their offense and give Burnside an opportunity that they might not have otherwise had to get a victory. Neither defense has an abnormal amount of missed tackles, so for Burnside this really comes down to establishing a running game and forcing turnovers. For Oakland it comes down to continuing in their ways and not turning the ball over.

Prediction: Oakland 21-14

That's a lot of scoring. Seems like every time I play against Burnside it's a 13-9 game.

Also Jack's preview was pretty much spot on, as it turns out.
