Harper really really doesn't give a shit about the regular season, while TSE has something to prove.

oh god he cares or he wouldn't make the playoffs, you can't exactly throw games unless you play all your people out of position.

The boosting factor is what makes it a "different game" in a sense and in a way makes the regular season a poor indicator of playoff performance, especially considering 2 #6 seeds won USA Pro the last 2 seasons and no early boosting teams(as in 50%+ of the rooster boosted) even made it to the final 4 the past 2 seasons as well (unless I'm mistaken and the Jacksonville Gators boosted early in season 1 although I'm not sure).

i think we all understand this but the game is NOT different no matter how you cut it.

Making the playoffs in USA Pro East is a joke at the moment. We could take all the equip off our players, never set tactics, and still get at least the seven seed.

The regular season is for experimenting and adjusting to new personnel (if you have it). We don't need the money from a home playoff game, and we don't care about regular season bragging rights.

well then test your squad and play people out of position or shut up about not caring...prove it.

What are you smoking? Playing a non-QB at QB is almost always a guaranteed loss.

The teams don't want to lose on purpose, they're just willing to experiment more to find winning combinations.

Of course, this is the guy who whines about moderators recruiting.

Listen to the poster you quoted and Asheme, they have the right answers here.

Harper could go inactive and make the playoffs with his roster right now in the USA PRO East. So no, the regular season means nothing to him or his team, as well it shouldn't.

Those words are a little hallow, but for a different reason. They're shaky because with his roster, it's obv that the DDL will do reasonably well in the playoffs if they don't win, so his comment likely stems from a little fear later on.

What an arbitrary requirement.

I said experimenting, not wasting our time. Playing people out of position doesn't work, we know that. We don't care about wins or losses, we do care about gathering relevant and useful information.

We won a scrimmage with a our RB playing QB, top corner playing RB, and half the O-line playing D-line.
The other team was a playoff team

Well I was pointing out that it's a figure of speech. :-P But you're right, the game itself doesn't "change".

And I don't think this game even means anything as Asheme says as I'm sure both TSE and Harper know there's a potential playoff match-up here and have that in mind for this game.

The top 7 seeds in the eastern conferrence are guaranteed so that's obviously not an issue. Seeding is also irrelevant unless you want home playoff revenues and a lot can change when every team in the playoffs boosts 3 levels which is significant and could change everything so at the moment unless there's more parity in the east, it seems like you can cruise through the regular season without worrying about making the playoffs and the playoffs is where the real season begins so as I said before, this game probably doesn't mean anything. :-)

Good job pointing out your contradiction of caring...why play the regular season then if you guys can sleep through it while your gaining your "information". it is the attitude of "not caring" which is BS and iM calling people out like that who claim they don't care. You do care because you can walk all over weak teams while experimenting, a luxury you have and an insult to those teams you beat along the way.

What?

They don't care because all that's required is for them to play everyone at their natural position and watch the carnage.

Playing my QB at QB can hardly be called "caring" as much as it is "not being brain dead."
