There are no punt blocks in GLB and kick blocks have nothing to do with anyone on the kicking team.

That would explain why I've never seen a punt blocked.
As for the blocked kicks, that'd be kinda hard to say one way or another since they happen so very little. And I've seen people use EVERYTHING at NT to get a block... CB's, LB's, Safeties, even a QB once. That one didn't make sense to me though... still doesn't.

Bort has said that kick blocks are an incredibly small chance that slightly depends on jumping but is mostly random. It has nothing to do with the kicking team.

For what it's worth I put my starting QB in as the place holder one season and my field goal kicking percent increased dramatically compared to the previous season. I don't know if that was the reason for the kicking improvement but my kicker's stats greatly improved.

That would totally suck if completely true. I mean. basically that says you could put level 1 O-linemen against level 79 defensive dots (trying to block the kick) and it would mean nothing to the success ratio of blocked kicks. If whomever is blocking against whomever is attempting to block the kick doesn't matter, then why even have it as a ST setup?
Understand... not saying you're wrong.... but saying that if it's true then GLB really is being abundantly stupid in their setup of the game.

well, for FG/XP attempts the only thing that really matters us not having important players use the tiny bit of energy that is used up on those plays
for punts obviously the long snapper does other things on that play so avoiding the OOP penalty is probably worthwhile

I have flat out seen block attempts with 4 defenders "hovering" around the kick. They've made the distance, assume in position, and BOOT.... kick goes up anyways.
Not sure what to say about that.

It's just rng , replays have no bearing on if the kick is blocked
