I will say this...any team that I have been a part of where they used a mix of OC's has not gone well. If it is just a learning type atmosphere I think that it is just fine, but having 2 (or more) OC's generally leads to compromise and that is something that will only hold you back.

SSM won WL gold a few seasons back using multiple OC's

Not necessarily, for the reasons listed above.

Remember, somebody's got to organize that schedule of who OCs which games, and that can turn into a clusterfuck in a hurry if you're not clear and effective as a scheduler. That's how you end up with both OCs fucking up each other's gameplans on the same game while another game has no offensive gameplan at all.

Plus even if a person only has to OC 8 games, if they have a crap-ton of shit going on at home or work, they might still burn-out anyway.

.....

It really seems like you're looking for a nice, simple, "magic pill" answer for "winning" this game. There isn't one.

Just find what works best for you and do it, and make adjustments along the way as needed. If you can make 2 OCs work, great! But there's no way to know if it will or won't work until you actually try it, and there's no guarantees either way.

Aighty, sounds good. Who should schedule the stuffs? HC? GM? Like any specific job that does that?

If you are getting to the point where you have made 7 different offensive strategies, you should probably step back and look around the league for better ways to do things. No DC is going to legitimately care that you went through all that trouble and it is likely costing you a ton of opportunities.

It would do so for..the DC's that just scout based on like rQB's, bTE, rTE, bFB, sFB, etc, but the real deal guys who game plan real well and take in factors might be tricked in right?

...aaaaaaaand the fact that you're even asking who should set the schedule is probably Exhibit A why this isn't a good idea for your particular team to try. If that answer isn't already obvious to you, then this will end in tears.

But basically, who's the leader of your team? Who makes all the big decisions? That's who should set the schedule.

Well... that was like... not only seasons ago but YEARS ago and, at the time, I had a LOT of energy and enthusiasm... and not a lot of experience. Now I have too much experience and little enthusiasm left. I blame Stu.

Maybe others have a different idea about this but I have no issues with delegating authority... nor with sharing jobs. But, at the end of the day, YOU are the one who bought the team and the responsibility falls upon your shoulders for it's success and/or failure. As owner, the best you can do is to have an atmosphere of honesty and trust (fun helps too) within the team and among those you chose to handle various operations. And it should work fine IF... if those people also have honesty and trust of each other. It falls apart when fingers start pointing and accusations start flying. Win OR lose, it's a TEAM effort and all concerned should share in the glory... or the shame. And have fun doing it or it won't last... no matter what. Winning is fun... but it's not the be-all that ends all.

You could always try to make the ultimate catch-all offense with your OCs rotate Quarters --then the defenses that are set too high on auto-adjust would have a difficult time keeping up.

Have different permutations of it -- one game have one OC do the first half and the other the second -- then another game do the first and 3rd quarter with the second OC doing the 2nd and 4th.

For that to have a chance of working, though, would require a meeting of the minds as to who is in which custom slot. -- otherwise it could be a disaster in the making.

And would one OC put in like his own plays and make a team AI or something?

Eh, depends on the DC. Some DCs are exactly as you describe, but I've seen more than enough DCs both on the way up the ladder and in Natty Pro and WL who do make specific adjustments for each opponent.

Really, really doubt that. Once you DC you'll realize just how much time that would take.

Of course, 90% of DCs claim they never change anything at all. About half of them are lying, and I can see it when I scout them. But it's a good lie to tell, because a lot of people fall for it, so I applaud them for it. Do what you gotta do to get those wins.

If you get bored, please scout and tell me the last time you think I made changes on http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?team_id=4727
