Because what you're forgetting is that this is just one flat image (the football) displayed on top of another flat image (the field.) The field goal uprights and crossbars may as well just be flat images painted onto the field just like the yardage markers and boundary lines.

My own team had a game end exactly like this earlier this season, and I thought it was odd too -- for about 3 seconds, which is how long it took me to realize, "Oh, yeah, they wouldn't really have any way to show the ball going under the crossbar, would they? It would just look like it went through even though it actually went under." And then I shrugged and started scouting the rest of the game to figure out what went wrong in the rest of my gameplan.

So, sorry, T2. Your kicker came up just short, and the ball went under the crossbar. Them's the breaks. Next time, just dominate your opponent so it doesn't have to come down to a make-or-break FG.

My kicker don't miss short from 55. You're outta your fuggin mind and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Dominating WL teams is kinda tough. You of all people should know this. #demoted

Replay ran out before it had a chance to fully clear the crossbar

It is tough, sure. Doesn't change the fact that you shouldn't let games come down to last-second make-or-break FGs.

In all seriousness, though, your guy may have enough Strength to be able to nail 65-yarders, but that's no guarantee that he will always send the ball sailing 65 yards. It lessens the chances of getting a bad roll on your kick-distance roll, but doesn't eliminate it entirely. And your Kicker had the misfortune of getting a bad roll at the worst possible time. It happens.

speculative at best. considering the bonuses the kicker was getting in that situation, I'd bet 100 to 1 that the kick didn't fall short. That's how wrong you are.

From when I worked as Bugs Coordinator, these were common complaints and Bort and Catch22 ALWAYS said that the replays are just visuals and not completely accurate representations of what happened. What Novus is saying is correct, as bad as it may suck.

Obviously, we're all aware of the visual replay not always accurate statement. That wasn't behind the scenes knowledge. It's just as likely as the kick was missed wide (more likely actually) than it was missed long, based on this statement.

The game meant nothing, I just thought it was funny. There's no way that kick was missed short.

So, you trolled us all basically.

And you're still trolling us all.

Not even GLB kickers kick at their maximum range every single time.

I know it's post-season and you're bored, T2, but this is quickly getting weak. Step up your troll-fu, man.
