I agree with the premise of the op.
I have no intention of playing GLB2 and this version appears to be losing people.
Anything that keeps people in the original game would be ok with me.
After my round of lvl 79 dots are done, I'm done as well.

The competitiveness of these lower leagues are dropping with the decline of players. And this game should be all about that competitive nature as you grow your player. I don't want to be done anytime soon, but Its really up to GLB. If they want to do nothing but let this game die then so be it.

Everyone pre end beta has 2 free players, is the market flooded? Another free player isn't going to do anything in terms of keeping this game alive past it's one season market flood.
