So I just want to be clear on this. They want us to create a support ticket because they can't do anything about it if they don't have a ticket. An admin already responded and it seems he doesn't want to do anything about it, or he would have unless they want to argue that they have to have a ticket. The asininity of having to create a support ticket for it to get handled but not get handled is getting crazy at this point.

So we should create a support ticket... then the thread. OK.

Just create a thread first that says you are about to create a support ticket
Oh... almost forgot to add, in the support ticket tell them to refer to the thread.

It's not that we can't do anything without a support ticket having been submitted (if we see something urgent posted in the forums, we'll take a look), but it's much easier for us when people submit support tickets since it saves the PM correspondence about the issue being fixed, making it easier to refer to later. For instance, if you write in to report a weird bug, rather than tracking down Bort to talk about it, it's easy to look and see "Oh, you wrote in about this same issue 8 months ago. Here's the fix for it."

If you have a serious issue you need an Admin to look at and fix, send in a support ticket.
If you want to talk to other users about something, make a thread about it. But know that the thread doesn't help the problem get fixed.

As far as the team in the OP... there are a lot of teams with vaguely racy names. If you feel something crosses the line, YES, send in a support ticket and we'll take a look. Doesn't mean we run out and edit every team name that's reported to us, but if we agree it crosses the line, then yes, we'll take care of it.

so send support tickets but if someone post something in the forums that will be treated as priority and delay the processing of my ticket?

If the game's admins were serious about things of offensive nature as they claim to be, then the thread in question would have been taken care of. That is my only point. Instead, they completely joke about a thread and clearly don't take care of the issue. I am sorry, but you guys are only consistent with your inconsistencies. And that is about as good as can be said. BTW, it is all about context in the OP that you speak of. Think about it a second, a "vaguely" racy name combined with the avatar, in the words of Chris Carter, "Come on, man!"

Unless the thread happens to be about something huge and game-breaking and your support ticket is a username change or a general "u guys suck this game sucks", then I'd say the answer is "No." But if there's a huge, game-breaking problem there are usually plenty of support tickets about it too so, again, the thread doesn't really help us.

Hey now. When we make a call you disagree with, it might not just be because we're huge hypocrites. Let's not rule out that we're too lazy to do anything, OR that we're biased against certain users and refuse to help them out of spite. I've seen all these theories at some point, I'd say they're all equally valid.

Agreed, however, note that consistency might have to do with all those things as well, so I am not sure what he is argument is against my point
