Bort isn't good at playing GLB, though.

No different issue, good dots will beat the OOP TE, and he will do well against bad dots. Of course, the idea is to plan to beat good teams. Planning to beat bad teams will not go well when you play the good ones.

Good at what?

A 150 strength blocking TE - even with OOP - is gonna roll a great CB pretty regularly, don't you think?

Check out this teams record and you will see what I mean

For starters, it's not a 150 strength TE, it's a TE with strength 90 something with a mess of equipment. The equipment points don't come close to producing what a raise in an attribute produces. Then blocking isn't all about strength, got to have the speed & agility to get to where he's needed to block, got to have some blocking skill, got to have the vision to make it all work, needs enough stamina so he doesn't take a huge penalty into the roll, and believe it or not, needs some confidence.

Go do some research, find a team using OOP Dots and is beating the elite teams doing so.

Won rookie gold unboosted with all SS's. No CB's or FS's.

Don't think the penalty is as big as you might think. http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=801

A 30% hit to a level 2 dot is still nothing... A 30% hit to as plateaued dot makes all the difference in the world

So you're saying it is a 30% hit or is that just a random number that you threw up?

Pretty sure the OOP for FS at CB is nowhere near 30% according to Catch.

Ya was guessing on the build.

But the point remains - that team does well, won leagues and tourneys with that set up, 21 games in a row

Till the last one, admittedly they lost their second WL game.

Funny thing is
1. I never used a blocking TE at WR position.
2. 130 str 90 blk WR can't immediately handle a 50 str CB, while a 150 str 90 blk OT can hadle 85 str DE immediately.

So you think some team won for the single reason they played a dot OOP? Kinda like one of those statements about drinking being healthy because grandpa did every day of his life and lived to be 101. Of course everything no thought was ever given to how long he would of lived had he not drank every day or to the quality.

In this play, the problem isn't your CB, but your FS............

Yeah, but the FS is the best I can offer right now, High 80 Str and, over 90 tackle and agility, +% make tackle...dont know I could do better and still have a FS that can do pass D.

Thats why i want to drop an LB between him and a monster like that.

I think that he ran over me with that play for two games, and I am at my wits end on how to deal with it.

Whether we win lose or draw, not really thinking about. Just thinking how to deal with that kind of match up should I run into it again.
