that doesn't sound like free, sounds more like mostly free

I think people may be a little mislead by "Career Boost" it's an extension to your player's career before your reach plateau/retirement which in GLB2 terms means a retirement league. If you like the way your player is playing and you aren't quite ready to put him in the retirement league or to rebuild, you can extend his career lifetime. Each boost adds 15 games but does not give any SP. To use these boosts will cost 150 Flex each.

It's actually more free.

Custom EQ actually makes your player better.

A free veteran level player is exactly the same as paid veteran level player.

Not entire sure yet, but plan on basically being D-League type leagues with CPU teams.

And yeah no decline

so if i understand this, you use the career boost at the end of a players life if you want to keep him playing in the regular leagues. The boosts only give you 15 more games per boost but you you don't get sp's from career boosts. so in other words you can use the three career boosts and get 45 more games to play before said player starts declining.

EDIT: never mind about the declining part I just read where corndog said that players don't decline. If thats so what makes it so you want to use your career boost?

+1

And to all the people complaining I'd still say they gave us a completely free player. you don't have to buy those career boosts to have a competitive dot. Basically you pay $1.50 for an additional season IF you like the dot and want to keep playing, or you hit the Legends League or whatever it's called.

Seems like a pretty fair setup imo.

Now, I've got a question about the progress bar with the stars in it, how exactly does that progress? (the part where it says like 0% sophmore at the end etc). Does that advance based on XP gained throughout the rookie season, age or what?

Yes - it progresses once your player starts to earn XP during season games

Perhaps you've signed with a pretty good team and you want to keep playing to see if you can win a championship/title etc. Players won't be able to continue in the normal leagues after they've reached their max skill capacity

i do like the setup tbh. so far i enjoy building players on glb2 instead of glb1.
