I'm actually planning on setting it up so alerts just get auto deleted after a week, too, unless you save them. Usually you don't need them for more than the few seconds it takes to read them. That should help keep inboxes from getting too overloaded (on top of getting 500 messages now)

So how does moving alerts to the inbox make them any less spammy?
I would MUCH rather have two separate boxes as I usually sign around 100+ dots to my teams each season and since they are my own dots I get double alerts. Having two separate inbox's makes it much easier to check and delete them once I figure out what they are.

Maybe it would help if we removed some of the extraneous alerts sent on GLB Classic in general in the future, since they can get kind of spammy. I remember reading somewhere that it was quite likely that would happen...
the only alerts i care about are when ppl sign or reject a contract. i get a lot and i just mass delete all the time but i never delete PMs. this is just going to make my time on glb miserable having to click all those little boxes to delete alerts so i dont delete PMs.
you guys are going backwards right now. its a perfect setup, why make it shitty?

The thing is that inbox is now shared between all games, so you can't as easily have game specific alerts any more. Not to mention they kinda just get lost for a lot of players.
And sending you 2 PMs for signing your own player is one of the things to remove cuz that's pretty pointless - you already know you signed your guy.
GLB2's model is to have important alerts show up as alert boxes on relevant pages instead of sending you PMs all the time (like "your player has a new contract" when you view a player, etc); I'd like to do more similar stuff on classic.

seems like a lot of work if you have lots of FAs every season. is there no way we can just not play glb2 and keep this setup?

I'm guessing not rollover tonight.

I'll add an alerts "filter" so you can view just alerts, if the issue is you want to sort them out easily. That's easy enough. The inbox max size of 500 is still going to include both though.

It doesnt sound that bad.
I recruit too, but I'd actgually like if I could just view the team page I'm alerting for and have it have its own set of alerts rather than cluttering my own inbox, so I could just go there to see who signed, who rejected, etc. As long as there is a place I can go to view the information though I don't really care, and I trust Bort to make it a step forward rather than a step backwards.
This still changes nothing, I'm not playin GLB2, ever, nor am i buying any more flex.
