I think they were put cross conference in order to not play the people in your own conference prior to the season in a non private game. Yes.

I am not sure what the relevance of 2 to 4 was for your argument however. They went from 2 to 4 because people wanted more games to test out changes. 1 or 4 preseason games...they were always cross conference.

We all know the point behind the actual games in preseason. my contention was that they are cross conference for a reason. good try tho.

afaik, playing the other conference had nothing to do with why we have preseason games. as i pointed out immediately after your idiotic post, the reason we have preseason games is to test changes. which is NOT what you said.
