I grew up thinking Santa was a sneaky evil "person" that magically shimmied down chimneys dropping off "stuff" just because it was his job to reward good lil kids, and if you caught (saw) him in the act he would do something "wicked" to you and would not come back ever ever again.

Such stories adults tell their kids just to make sure they don't get caught in a lie, oh the memories
