has anyone ever tried a pHB at the higher levels?

i've always wanted to try a scrambling qb there but haven't gotten around to it

Yup. Built them all. WR, CB, HB... and using the elusive arch is working out the best of them all. Is it the cheapest? Nope. But it's the best IMO.

Quality before quantity. The better a player will be, the more the class will cost.
