Not to be a dick... but oooh, they'll have a 500xp advantage over a team that boosted early in the season. Or less if they used only 1 or 2 boosts or doesn't have any real policy on boosting (SGA style, boost when you want).
Holding out on boosting until the last possible moment is useful during the first two seasons of a player's life. Past that, the cumulative effort might as well be a mere two level difference at the end of a player's life cycle, and we all know that builds > levels anyways. I mean, what'll be the main difference between a level 48 and a level 50?
Someone finally understands this. I applaud you.
Jiddy Fructose disagrees...He feels that as each day passes he learns more and more about this game and more and more of what his player is capable of...thus the decision-making process for how to spend his skill points will be more informed...as well as he will be able to tweak to what the team feels it is deficient in...Not to mention the nightmare that will be playoff scouting for opponents since 15 skill points can change a player dramatically...multiply that by an entire team and there you go...The only issue he has is that he is risking an epic fail early playoff exit if things don't work out the way he would like them to, while bypassing the ability to rock that ass for 16 games...which would be quite disappointing...but hey, with every disappointment comes opportunity to gorge oneself and have sex with multiple hookers to cheer himself up...preferably both at the same time.
