New teams would only be afforded this option as it would help fill in their roster.
Agents would be able (as an option) to check which players they would offer up for drafting.

Concept #1
Team's contract offers would expire in 2 days so the process would not take long as offers would be accepted with more haste.

Concept #2
Instant signing with sequential draft picks. Similar to fantasy drafts, teams would chart their picks from most wanted on downwards and the 1st team gets 1st dibs of course. Agents have to do nothing as their players would be signed automatically within this system and without any reason for these teams not to have a decent full roster afterwards...

TN, we will add this to the drawing board regardless.

Holy shit shut up.

I don't see why not? Have Teams and Player's commit and have a Draft Day and if a Team's not there, have it set to a Default Pick or whatever?

Would be a complete mess. Players don't distinguish themselves from others anymore. The idea behind a draft is that you have an idea of the player ability. GLB just isn't like that anymore and it hasn't been for a long time.

GLB public drafts have always drawn an interest and have been fun..
ILOF and UGLB were very successful user ran drafts.
The game hasn't changed in the aspect where it would affect a draft in a negative way.
