The biggest culprit behind phantom play calls are your yardage and down and distances are mixed up. Your inputs should correctly look something like (for 3rd downs, as an example):

3rd & 8-10
3rd & 4-8
3rd & 0-4

Do not do something like:
3rd & 8-10
3rd & 4-7
3rd & 0-3

Because what happens if you get into a 7.5 yd situation? The sim will randomly pick a play and ignore your AI.

They've had this issue since I did any coordinating, and that was well over 10 seasons ago... they aren't going to fix it, it's been made pretty damn clear.

no way bozo. lol

more like 3rd and 0-2
2-4
4-6
6-8
8+ and do it low to high, otherwise on 3rd and 2 you might have a short pass when your preference would have been an off tackle run

Having a package in 'My Tactics', and team tactics with the same name, is also a pretty common screwup.

More over, I have had seen phantom pass progressions.
But more likely that was some glitch or dot tactic settings, I suppose.

I remember Catch saying on the radio, seasons ago, that there always seems to be one phantom call per sim. I know it's happened to me, but not for a long time now as I have mature OAis that don't have any holes (that I know of...)

As stated above, look at the exact play, then test that exact down and distance and time of game and see what the outputs show.

The first thing I said in the OP was "I tested it" and that Call wasn't in my AI, lol.
