Bolded the key part.
Shortening the season would not stop people losing interest because playoffs are approaching. It would just make it happen more quickly every season. If you shorten it to 12 game regular season, then instead of people being locked in by week 12, they would be locked in by week 9. If you shorten it to 8 games, then people would be locked in by week 5 or 6. In any event, the bad teams will figure out they have no shot around mid-season, and they will start to lose interest.
In the end, you are just playing a shell game....moving the problem from here to there, but are not actually accomplishing anything.

Games every day would only be bad for coordinators. Given that only a small percentage of GLB coordinates, it might be a good idea.

You missed the idea
Its not less games
But less DAYS
Games every day, two games a day maybe.
So that you get all the game but less of the yawn, and you positively DO shorten the time folks are out of it in terms of DAYS, not games.

Yeah
Only place it hurts dot owners is in the tactics changes or in temp boosts for a game or swapping equipment.

Would still change it with leveling faster, anyway for anyone the actually does tactics 2 days is a pretty quick turn around as it is. Terrible idea.

You could do it as easily as making regular season games fire every day rather than every other day.
This would make me quit.

This would make me rage-quit.
Serious reply for serious thread.

Agreed, every 2 days is quick enough.

Ahhhh yeah. I confess didnt think about the details on this one.
That would be an issue.

Seems to be the consensus.
Just a bit of a bummer, Pacific Pro has had one forum post in the last two days, on the 11th. South Atlantic Pro has not had a post since August 10th (two days ago).

Funny how people in most of the minor leagues have more cares than Pro and WL. Forums down there are always active.
Here's the thing though. While it might seem like an answer to what seems to be a small problem, does it not (very possibly) lead to newer and bigger problems? And then the hue and cry to "change it back"? I don't mind changes if it's forward progress. I am not fond of changes that seem marginal or worse. And I believe this kind of change falls under that premise.

And this is true which is why what I'm saying is also true. Coordinators are important to the function of the game. And most probably feel things are tight (time-wise) already. This kinda shows up with the usual "Speed up the post season/pre-season" threads. For myself, I enjoy the down time from GLB. Helps me step away and take breaths which, in turn, makes me fired up when the season is ready to go again. Take this away and you set yourself up for burnout. Even the soccer mmoprg game I enjoy, which has a quicker turn around, has plenty of "off-time"... they only play 2 to 4 games a week and give us over a week off between seasons. I am grateful for this as it allows my to enjoy that game as well as this one.
So, overall, I'd much prefer to leave it as it is. Will you have some "bored time"? Sure. But don't you have a life besides this? And wouldn't it be nice to not feel forced to spend too much time here so that it doesn't intrude on things outside of GLB? That's my take and my reason for saying no to the OP.
