I assume you're talking about individual dots as opposed to the entire team. I agree 100% that dots should have two - three attributes very high which will lead to two or three attributes that aren't very strong. I also agree that possession receivers and LOTs are a bit more balanced than other positions and that's OK.
The team itself should have balance - a mix of offensive weapons and a blend of defensive specialists that the coordinators can utilize - although I've seen some teams do quite well by just playing the power or speed game.
