I think tackling is less important than being set on wrap up tackle, having 2 make tackles % pieces, and having the reroll tackle VA

without, we all know the eq doesn't work. It's just fake numbers to make us think we are doing something good with out dots.

I have DTs with tackle of 90 and 93, both have missed 4 and made 10 tackles this season, missing 28% of their tackles. Another with 96 only made 3 tackles (DC Issue) but missed none.

I have a LB who has 101 tackle and he has missed 21% of his tackles. A CB with 93 Tackle also missed only 21% of his tackles.

All at the National Pro level.

For whatever that is worth.

Oh and a DT on my team, though not my dot, has 83 tackle and has missed 27% of his tackles....

Okay I will speculate that the LB and CB are benefiting from their position and less often facing power HBs than the DTs. In which case, tackling seems to be not a huge difference.

Been thinking about running a 100 Tackle DT. Check with me in six seasons or so.

from what i took from it is that you keep adding tackling even tho you are getting minimal return

Power backs to me are nutty, not quite as nutty as the Csonka days but still pretty bad. Just trying to get an understanding of where a dot should be to have any chance of standing a shot vs a power back.

For instance my DT today was blowing his rape whistle for back up, and the power back ran over all my back up. Should I invest in the Tonya Harding VA?

I added to that post,

But yeah it seems the 100 threshold may be helpful. But worth it??

Whereas a quick peak makes me wonder if 95 - 90 is any better than 85 on the D line. Maybe putting those points into Diving Tackle or something else would be better?????

Maybe it's a lack of something other than tackling.
