I say shorten it, you guys don't really need the time off, you're just a bunch of lazy slackers

2 Preseason games... and a bunch of free TP?

Builds are all based on an 8 day preseason for TP purposes, they'd have to give use a bunch of free TP.

I am in favour of a shorter offseason, maybe cut two days on either side of the rollover?

The TP could be raised to absorb what is lost

I'll give this a +1 as long as double TP are given during the preseason. I can understand not wanting to eliminate games from the offseason for recruiting but the preseaon serves very little purpose since we aren't seeing major sim changes.

This has always driven me up the wall. People complain about cookie cutter formulas for building players yet people hate any changes that would force them to change how they build dots.

It isn't that. It is that you count on a certain number of training sessions remaining (especially in the last two seasons) so that you can finish your SAs and AEQ. Also you would be playing against plateau players who got more TP than your dot did. This can make a significant difference, especially in the early seasons.

This has nothing to do with cookie-cutter formulas at all, nor am I arguing that this would affect the idea of cookie-cutter formulas (it would simply force a recalculation for those that use such formulas).

The reason you can't do it is because of the "unfairness" between builds and the harm it can do to a build in progress if you are suddenly 8-16 TP short without warning.

Things can be phased in.

People can add up to 8 games a day, those four preseason games are worthless, and meaningless
