Just went to the Changelog, and then searched for CPU and kept clicking "next match" until I found it. I knew it was in there somewhere, just had to find it.

They are not based on actual levels, they are based on PV, or EL.

The EL of the team they're on, or the team they're playing?

They are based on actual levels.

That's why the teams with a bunch of 800 day old dots that are 76/18 lose to CPU teams then hit the forums complaining.

Then jdbolick defends the crappy team and acts like CPU dots are an overpowering, unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

Um, no.

I've certainly had my share of arguments with jdbolick about CPU dots, but he's never said that he thinks CPU dots are overpowered. (In fact, I seem to recall a couple of times when he's said he wouldn't mind CPU dots being a little stronger.)

jdbolick's issue with CPU dots is that he thinks there's some sort of bug with the CPU-dot level-scaling which can sometimes cause the CPU dots to be stronger than intended. I happen to disagree with jdbolick. But that's as far as I'll go on that topic.

But no, he's never said "CPU dots are overpowered." Others certainly have, but he hasn't.

Because they are scaled based on PV/EL.

Borts reasoning behind making CPU dots "match up" with players was so that every team would have a good game. He knew there always would be good and bad dot builders. He wanted a good game for all. He also wanted a mystery to the game.

Sorry House...

EDIT: I know what the powers at be say, but lettuce remember, only almighty Bort knows for sure, and he has lied/been wrong before. All data points to me being correct. So prove me wrong or don't and keep just saying you are right.

Except they don't. If they did just set their EL equal to the players based on the opponents EL, then this change wouldn't have happened.

CPU players are basically taken from template players Catch has on the test server, then their attributes are multiplied by the opponents levels divided by 79.

No, they're not. Per Bort just a few months ago...

And that brings us to this...

While you make a valid point about Bort having been wrong in the past, the burden of proof is not on us to prove you wrong... the burden of proof is actually on you to prove Bort wrong.

So, care to share these "data points" you have which prove Bort is wrong?

They don't, which is why rosters in decline have the most trouble beating CPUs, and why very well built rosters are the least likely to lose.

GLB should be able to somewhat verify (lol bars) the att's of individual cpu dots ....

.... you can see that sometimes they can play decently , as in the past when Bort , amped up their abilities for a limited time .....

.... but they never seem to match up to the avg lvl claimed except , against the worthless under-leveled human owned dots .... and those worthless under-leveled human owned dots become a liability to their own cpu team mates ....

..... and it would be nice to make available some of the currently un-available HT/WT combinations that some cpu dots have ....

.... being able to run a team with effective cpu dots , in a cpu only league , would be a + for GLB .....
