I basically just follow Gerr's No/No team around nowadays so that we can play in championship games versus each other.
Anyway, back to the OP:
I would totally recommend making a non-boosted Pee wee team. It amounts to costing 400 flex per season (for the cost of renewing the team.) But you can create all the players and get all that thousands of flex back to reuse over and over. You'll learn every aspect of the game if you put the time in, and it's super enjoyable.
