what if I'm not looking for big runs, but rather average 3 to 6 yards and maybe have a few runs in there in the 10+ range... Not making a dot that breaks away for 30, 40, 60 yards runs. So, could one get away with say 120 speed with EQ and use the extra SP in strength, agility and carry?

I've actually got 115 carrying on this dot right now with a piece of BEQ into carrying and with steady grip. Everyone who says 140 speed is a requirement never had a dot with 110 speed and 91 strength and 115 carrying. The goal has been to make use of every break tackle SA and to not be so fast that he gets in front of his blockers. I think he has been very successful, especially with hurdle.

#2 on TimeTrial's list is why I value Carry more than STR.

Do you have Hurdle and Surge or just Hurdle? And if you don't care to tell, how much jumping will you have at end build?

Promise you, you dont. Keep in mind though I am including Steady Grip. So guess carrying would be more like 93/94. I wouldnt use workout warrior on a powerback though. So strength would be natural 100.

No surge. Surge isn't a break tackle SA so I'm not using it on this one. Jumping is at 63 and will finish at 64 or 65. You don't need more than 60 to break diving tackles on a power back.

Thanks for the info. Will go the Hurdle route too, just swapped Surge for Hurdle and will end at 65 Jumping. Will also get 100 Str, 100 Carrying and 140 Speed (all EQ here) but now I'm thinking of 130 Speed and use those points to leave Carrying at 110.
