I'm pretty sure that Stiff Arm has a pop-up.

Bort's wrong and I don't think Wolfkill asked for a fix, just an explanation.

There is definitely a very small change of direction by the HB. Whether that is enough to where it could be a hard change of direction I think is questionable, but there is some change of direction. One of the standard cop outs for GLB is that the sim is just an approximation of what is actually happening. I suppose this could be a situation where the change of direction was at the extreme of one that could result in a fake and the result is it not looking like much despite the fact that the math is there.

Oh, yeah.

And the dot definitely falls down and it registers in the text.

But the movement itself looks like the reaction to a stiff arm. I dunno

And he was given an explanation. We've seen instances like this that happened in open space without a strange blocking explanation even being possible. Based on what Bort has stated, this was a hard cut/fake. You can rationalize it however you want.

No, you haven't seen instances like this without a blocking explanation. Furthermore, you're not qualified to argue with me so please don't. I understand there is some defensiveness there because I'm the most outspoken critic of how clueless Bugs mods perpetually are, but letting that insecurity lead you to a fight where you're hopelessly out-classed doesn't serve anyone.

This, 1000 times this

But really the HB obviously has 15 in invisible shield VA and his x-factor has x-factor

HB ate 2 lbs of garlic pregame.
SS is a vampire.
(As good a explanation as any other in this thread)

Care to tell me again what I haven't seen?

Really needs Bort to look at the examples in thread and decide if he is happy with this.

Additional examples can be found in most games of similar interactions, on outside runs mostly..

Thank you for posting those. Seeing it happen again makes that dubious explanation seem more plausible.
So the Hb changes direction and the DB fails a vision check thinking the HB intended to go in a different direction. OP's replay being at the extreme end of that is something I can buy. Barely, but I can buy that, I'm sure with a more advanced visual representation we may better be able to see whats going on.

If a pursuer fails a vision check like this because of a move by the ball carrier, could we get an icon blink above their head? Would be nice for agents who own offensive dots to see that something their dot did contributed to an extra yard or two.

Unbeknownst to all GLB'ers, Bort is a die-hard Star War's fan and has installed a random "Force" generator in the game. Some dots got it... most do not. "Use the Force, Dot... trust the Force!"

Fair enough, I stand corrected. So apparently Bort has really shitty code and is a complete idiot if he thinks that is in any way acceptable.
