To be frank, the biggest adversary when it comes to dual threats isn't the sim, but the OCs... It's perfectly possible to get a QB with two kits, one for throwing and one for passing, where he can be threatening in both. The issue is no OC wants that.
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Newbie Help > Has anyone ever built a successful dual threat QB?
I still think it's the expectations of the dot's creator. Too many expect to see their dual threat QB's with 300 passing yards and 200 rushing yards every game. That simply isn't gonna happen because...

They're also built to defend passes thrown by a QB with 170 Throwing and triple stacked Pass Quality%. In dot ball it's impossible to have both setups in one dot, the best you can do is a slow, fumbly runner who throws ducks.
Real life can produce an RGIII, dot ball can only have Vicks legs, Brady's arm, or a whole Tim Tebow.
... this is quite true. You simply cannot build a high enough quality DT QB with the limited SP's you get for every build. And, if GLB gave you enough SP's to build a high enough quality DT QB, then all the other dots who concentrate on their "specialties" will be so impossibly awesome that the game would blow it's po' lil' mind. You can build a good DT QB... but keep your expectations in check and you'll be rewarded with stats like 250 yards passing and 68 yards rushing with a pocket full of TD's. And, as Hagalaz says, with a good OC, that will win many a game.

This is more what I'm looking for when I go to build my dual threat. Shoot, even an efficient 150 yards passing and 50+ rushing with a TD or 2 on average would be fine. 65 to 75% pass completion and at least 4 yards average rushing... A++ in my offensive scheme of things.

I'm working on it. But the QB spot is already taken by someone else. Also the build won't be ready for it's rushing role for 6-7 seasons. I did however decide to not retire my QB so I can keep working on it and deliver a final product for inspection

Can you PM me the build, just so I can have something to compare mine with as it gets older?
If most OCs don't want the hastle to use possession WRs.
Why would any go through torture trying to make a Dual Duck QB effective.
Get 1 pure Runner, and 1 Pure thrower. GG

Your OC must suck if he can't use possession WRs

Yep, it is such a hassle throwing to a WR that can catch.
