Yeah, if that was what really happened.

been doing this since season 1...and have watched no doubt 100's...if not 1000's of replays. SS's do the craziest shit. I agree 100% with the OP. Deep Middle does not mean run backwards at the snap until the ball is caught

The safety is already 20 yards deep at the snap of the ball, then he's dropping to make sure no WRs get behind him. Seems to me that the SS did exactly what the play was designed to do, although that may not be exactly what you had in mind. Have you tried moving the safety up or using a medium zone?

This.
But also, there's a difference between cover zone shallow and cover zone deep. The FS also runs away from the play once the WR leaves his zone, the only reason he stayed up is because the WR entered his zone before he got super deep. Since nobody entered the SSs zone early he just kept running backwards

I don't know why people are pretending they don't understand the complaint. A defender in a deep zone continuing to drop until he's 15 yards deeper than the deepest receiver is pretty ridiculous.
this is not the kind of crap that makes me wanna go play WoW
actually I have yet to come across the kind of crap that makes me want to play WoW
actually I have yet to come across the kind of crap that makes me want to play WoW

It was a deep middle third, and I dont care what it is, there should be a way to keep a safety in the middle behind the under.

It was just scathing commentary.
Tried Wow when it came out. Made level 6 which you make by logging in pretty much.
Obviously they know what they are doing but the game did not translate well from the RTS game which was fun. For me anyway.

Maybe there is, actually, and Fumanchuchu referred to it in his post.

In the Assignment field for your SS, is it at "Cover Zone Deep," "Cover Zone Medium," "Cover Zone Shallow," or something else?
If it's on Cover Zone Deep, try Cover Zone Medium and see if that alters his behavior.
...though that leads me to another question. Is this the only time the SS has done this, or has he done this other times too?
(And just for shits and giggles, what's his Vision? And don't say "high enough..." I've seen people think in the 60s is "high enough." Number, please. Thanks!)

Its this kind of thread that convinces people yello doesn't actually have any idea what he is doing

This, but, that middle zone is deeper than the others, don't know if that's intended or a bug. Of course, can't select any of the options if it's one of the default zones.
