The sites that you can close your account are subscription based sites. Since there is no subscription here, there is really no point in closing your account.

Most places have a way you can close out your account. Most places don't make it simple to do either. Those are the facts of the matter.

This isn't quite accurate either. Just so you know. The places that have a subscription are obligated to make a "simple" termination process but most sites have a method even if the method is not straight forward.

You can still retrieve your password so even that's not really effective.
