I was once in a coma and I have to say that I don't think I could've made it to a computer to sign-in... That might've just been me though.

I don't know...back when I worked in retail management I had an employee call in sick one day because he was in a coma...

Actually, he was a pretty good guy. He was, for the most part, a good worker. He had no education and this was just one example of that.

My boss tells a story of an employee of his at a prior job who once brought in an (obviously faked) doctor's note excusing her from work because she had developed a case of Down's Syndrome.

She didn't work there anymore after that.

Best one I had, told the manager in was calling off the next day while at work do to illness, he kind of laughed thinking I was joking, the next day he was calling me all day wondering where I was, then he got in trouble for not finding someone to cover for me lol
