Another question, should I train until I almost take my main to 53 before I soft cap it? Or just soft cap ASAP?

Right now, because we're in the offseason, your dot won't be leveling up until the season starts. Wait until day 0 to bring it to 61 so you get the best training gains while you arent getting XP.

The point is to get your skill capped as soon as you can so the Auto-level gains are worth more when you level up.

my last raining session took my guys to 51.50 on their main. I have 18 skill points. Which means I will end up exactly at the 2nd cap. Do I want to buy a skill point to go over the cap? Just train for one more day? Or do neither and just put my points in?

If you can reach the next cap with your skill points than cap it. Try to get your training as close to rollover as you can before you cap it though. Cap it and then train it to roll it over and keep training it til you have enough skill points to reach the next cap.

I guess I couldn't come any closer. With my SP's ill be right at 60.50. One hundredth of a point away from it rolling over.

If buying 1 skill point will reach the cap for you than do it. If not....keep training it til you can cap it.

After you roll it over dont cap it til you get your training back around the 90% range. Then cap it.

At any cap. You always want to try and get your training as close to rolling over before you cap it. You get lower training gains after you cap it so get that training as close to rolling over before capping it.
