Darncat....we use SpyQB and we shut your team down 66-3. Your rushing QB averaged 1.9 yards per carry.

Novus....we use SpyQB against your offense and you said you were getting frustrated at how our defense bottled up your offense.

Its not garbage if you know how to use them. The key is to move them and not leave them in their default spot.

However, it's still beatable. It's just annoying to figure out how to beat it.

Really, the best approach is to use a variety of defensive plays and just stay as unpredictable as possible on D. If I know what you're going to be doing, even if it's a really well-designed defensive play, there's a pretty good chance I'll be able to find some way to attack it. But if you're rotating through 5 or 6 different defensive plays against each offensive formation, that's gonna make me pull my hair out as an OC.

exactly. DE flat we beat off tackle off tackle off tackle
it works well against everyone but Cartel for some reason.
HOWEVER, when the D changes it up, we dont know what to expect,
and can end up running straight into the teeth of the D.
so its always good to have 3 different plans to stop everything.
you don't want to be predictable. predictable=beat before the game begins

i like MLB QB spy tbh. has worked all off season/pre season just fine for me. send guys to flats, have a qb spy and even blitz a CB and the RQB gets lit up. that is just in university though.

i shouldnt give it away, but it was completely irrelevant to that particular game.
we lost so badly because we did nothing but run inside, thinking with your whole D shifted outside it would be easy to do so...
it wasn't; your 2 DTs overpowered our whole line and we just banged our head into the wall all game, no help from auto adjust lol

anyhow, that was the exact point i was trying to make before- if you have the flats covered correctly,
that QB spy can hold it to a 3-5 yard gain if the QB is able to cut back successfully, which is a lot better than this:
http://www.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2323785&pbp_id=3692083

but yeah, the QB spy, in conjunction with the right D, can help hold those to shorter gains {as can the correct zone)
but by itself, QB spy won't work against a well set up rQB attack

yeah, thats what i mean. in a combination with the right outside D, it can be effective.
however, by itself, no dice. you cant just leave the outside uncovered, put a MLB on spy
and think he's gonna do it by himself. that was what i was attempting to explain

Off tackle amirite?

And ok. I was only running 2 plays per formation, but I guess now i will bump it up to 4 per formation I guess, hopefully I can use auto adjust to pick the best one against the plays that are being ran.

Spy QB means that defender will follow the QB wherever he goes.

Not always, actually. We've faced some teams that guessed we would go off-tackle and positioned their LBs brilliantly to shut that off too. But we've found ways to beat that too.

Then there's whatever the fuck whodey does GRAAAAAAAH@#$%!$#%@#$%@#$^@^

This sounds OP.

Do you have any replays of defenders with QB spy on making a play on the ball?

A ton but I am not spending the time to go back thru games and look for them. Why don't you do what we did and create your defenses and then set up scrims to test them out. What works for us may not work for you. A dot's build does come into play.

At prep, like every dot is the same.

Ppl say to test things out, but when you test it then they say "just ask ppl what they do" or "just copy what they do"
