5-2 and 4-4 Big I are both welcome additions.

Now if we could just get a cobra package (3 safeties) that would be sweeeeet

If they want to add an offense play creator, I'm down.

But I can't think of anything the offense is really missing, except a more realistic TE screen.

By realistic do you mean to say, one that only works about 5% of the time? I haven't really watch a game in a while, how often does it work in GLB. As much as I hear about it, I would guess more than that.

the TE screen we have now is a horrible play

Once the defense side is set there are several formations in the works possibly being added.

Not if you gave us free range of player positioning again..

Would be fun to see who could draw up the best exploits..

a lot of teams were already using the 5-2 concept, they just had a LOLB built like a DT.

I don't think I'll be making the switch to the real thing, given that DEs can't be assigned for coverage.

4-4 big did pretty much nothing because the CB2 could already move all over.

Nickel Big would have been nice, because of the ability to move another safety to cover the TE.

or the ultimate insanity... allowing all CBs the same range of motion as CB2, so you could move CB3 over to cover the TE

No. An OPC ends DCing, full stop. Defense is reactive but we can't make real-time changes. If the offense can do anything then the defense no longer has anything to key on aside from tags.

Ya the game would be boring with an OPC.

GL passes. I can think of one that is probably the most common play in football, as in just about every NFL team has a version of it. Basically a variation of this play http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTqnwPwM6bdetFMMtYlWnFeyqEOt4D9YPNJKvwh6ZeBPWanvN1E with the backside TE or both running a route as well.

It could be done with some outside the box thinking. Basically limit offensive playbooks to x number of plays and give teams x number of created plays per season, drawing a deadline for created plays for a given season around the same time as the trade deadline. That way even though the plays a team were using would be unique to them (or many would be), they would be limited to a finite amount that as a DC you could scout. This would also remove some of the vanilla from GLB as well since teams could develop more of an identity than they can now.

So let's say you could make 10 created plays a season and your playbook could be 20 or 25 plays max. Plays Plays would have to be made by the trading deadline. If you deemed it necessary, you could stipulate that created plays were visible to opponents during scouting reports.

I'd be down with that... but you'd really need to take the limits off the DPC while you were at it, or at least set it up with the same limits as the OPC in terms of playbook size and deadlines and what-not.
