Basically you just want to make sure your done with your attributes before going to SA's. You can go to SA's before your done with your attributes if you want but you want to make sure your done with your most important attributes for sure!

not really tho cuz once the build's done attribute wise, doesn't matter when you assign your SA's

Plateau happens at Age 281 for every dot. (by then as long as you've boosted you'll be level 79)

The problem with all of the SPs you used in the SAs so early is that you won't be able to take advantage of the ALGs (Automatice Level Gains) that your majors/minors get everytime your dot levels up.
And the problem with not taking advantage of these ALGs early on is that by the time your dot has reached plateau he will be (at best) behind a few points in each attribute, which is a big problem in this game. You won't be able to make it to the premier league (World League) and you may not even make it to Pros if you don't have a dot capable of competing with the others, who have taken full advantage of ALGs early on and thus will have much higher core attributes than you.

Novus has done a great job with his advice imo. Finish out your season, without boosting, to use the time to figure out how the training works and learn more about the overall process of dotbuilding. That way you can learn as much as possible, apply it, and then restart and try it for real when you feel comfortable with it all.

All of ^^^ this ^^^ and also, use this season to really comb the forums about building. Check out JDbolick's stuff and others as well. Overall you'll find answers to questions you haven't even thought of yet. The MAIN gist of all of this is to really pound your primary skill from the start. The REAL reason you don't spend SP's on SA's is because of how it takes away from your build so early... and early is where you make the biggest gains and also where big mistakes can really kill. Have a plan from the start and grind on it like a single guy in Hef's place on dance night. And, lastly, never feel badly about making a mistake. Ain't nobody here that hasn't made a few at least. I quit counting mine (ran outa fingers and toes).

I made nothing but mistakes on here until my current crop of dots. And even they have issues...

You must build better dots than me then cuz mine don't have issues... they need therapy.

Let's just say... I'm glad I'm better with my son than I am with my dots.

Did you use the VPB on your son?

Nope, I've just been wingin' it. Fortunately, that works a lot better with kids than with dots.

EDIT: Turn The Shoulder was a mistake, though... makes it a LOT harder to catch him when I need to change his diaper and he'd rather keep watching Dora The Explorer.

No, trust me, he's mine. He's got all my bad habits.
