If you were to keep the punter, I would say...

1 Receiving TE
1 CB or LB(your choice, depends on your defensive setup and which one is used more often)
3 C-STOPS

Most relevant post I suppose I will likely take this one.

your team morale will take a massive hammering by games end and your team will die a horrible death

A bigger morale killer would be having 278 silver trophies and only 7 gold trophies

I'd rather have a punter. I think I would of held the Kids scoreless had I had one. Just depends what league your in. In Gold league defenses are much better by round 1, even more so round 2, round 3 and 4 is pretty much best defense and special teams win. Silver league you won't need one, copper, you don't even need a defense...lol

PWG > dogpoo > silver.

I bet you won't get away with that in gold.

I got away with that against every Gold team I faced in both the pee wee invitational tourney and the pee wee GLB tourney and every scrim any gold team sent me. That included playing the top tier of Gold teams.

Don't hate just because you couldn't even win a copper gold title

If my math is correct you were just 3-10 against us on 4th down conversions. But I would still rather go for it and put it on my defense than risk a punt return TD. I wonder what % of punts inside your own 40 result in PR TDs compared to giving up defensive TDs in the same situation.

I think that purely by the stats it is almost always better to just go for it. (If you average 10 yards net on punts I'd be surprised.) However, I believe that it is coded such that the morale hit if you don't make it on 4th down is too great to take the chance. I still "go for it" on 4th down way more often than you see in college or the NFL, but I don't believe you can forget punting entirely.

And same thing with field goals, IMHO.

Your offense got stuffed on how many 4th down possessions? You got a gift with the ball on my 21 yard line. The point was, had I punted you would of been backed up to the 50 where I know I would of held you. Instead, by going for it you got the ball at the 21. Already in field goal range. I covered my TEs and BTEs. Not my fault you didn't and I got the bling.

You would have had a 29 yard punt with no return? Our punts were usually roughly 12-14 yards net. If that were the case he would have got the ball around the 33-35 with the chance of a TD return. 4th down deep in your own end seems between a rock and a hard place in the entry level.

What's worse is kickoffs where you don't have a choice.

Yeah, one thing I really hate is going on an 8+ minute drive to tie a game just to have it erased in a couple seconds.

we`ll see this season my only second season in PWG as coordinator. this season I had my very new DAI and custom plays. I changed my builds a bit and some plays that worked wrong. this season I`ll try to improve my scouting skills and offensive game.
