For me, regular season and playoffs... my performance in those will directly determine my team's league placement next season, so there's more at stake.

If I flame out in the opening round of the GLB tourney, I'm annoyed for a day or two -- and the consequences end there. Which isn't to say that the Tourney isn't fun at all... always nice to play some teams that you normally don't get to face. But there's just more at stake in the regular season and the playoffs.

I keep forgetting to sign up for the tourney, but have not once missed out on signing up for the regular season.

I enjoy the tournaments, but bhall is correct about the lack of awareness. GLB needs to do something to make each level more cognizant of the results as the tournament goes along.

I agree with jd tournaments have the potential to get people much more involved than they currently do, but I still have fun with them. Getting knocked out early usually pisses me off which means I have cares at least.

League playoffs definitely win though.

Agreed tournaments should really be a feature and not just something supported by the game. The major tournaments at least should have their open pages and things like tournament MVP's.

And support staff doing short recaps every round for each age level's forum. Lord knows they don't do anything else to earn a salary from Bort.

Ya that would be ideal. This is what made the PWT so damn fun.

- turnit kept an ongoing record of statistics that was essentially the most amazing thing I had ever seen. The guy was thorough.

- I did previews and recaps of each game. Also a lot of videos through xtranormal at the time.

- There were MVP .gif's and championship .gifs for the owner.

- Owner of team also got a nice flex prize.

Plus every team got a pretty even run at the tournament as it was World Cup style. 64 teams, 16 divisions. Each division played a round robin. Best 2 records moved on to round of 32 for single elimination.
