So what's the reason you don't want any additions to attributes?

*EDIT* I see it now, it costs more for a piece with that extra attribute point.

no that's not the reason

the reason is because without the attribute you can customize it to your like by adding a +3 to your major attribute or 2nd...and a +1 or +2 isn't really worth it in the overall picture.

This.

If you roll a piece that naturally has both +3 in the Attribute you want AND has +5% in a bonus you want, BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT! You've basically just won the AEQ Lottery.

No. That piece is no good at all.

Wait for a naked +5% piece, or a naked +3 speed piece.

^^^ This.

To explain, it costs 75 BT's to add any 5% bonus to a piece of equipment. It costs 50 BT's to add a +3 skill to a piece of equipment. It's VERY hard to find (roll for) a piece that has BOTH +3 to your primary skill AND 5% bonus that you want for the dot you're rolling for. Best pieces are the 5% bonus pieces where you later "upgrade" and add on the +3 skill of your choice. If, however, you come across a +3 TO YOUR PRIMARY SKILL ONLY (without any bonus at all), go ahead and grab it and "upgrade" the bonus to whatever you want. Costs more... but it could cost you a LOT more to pass that by in hopes of getting a better roll down the road.
