It's an option, but not 100% necessary. You can be as extensive as you want in your tagging/inputs. Exactly. And if you go crazy on the number of inputs, you can potentially make it a nightmare to find out when a play is going to breakdown because you've seen it twice all season.
Big I and Singleback Big I find are the worst because of the extra TE to tag.

QBs (Passer or Rusher)
TEs (Receiver or Blocker)
HBs (Power or other)
Some people will also tag the FBs, but I find that is just too many different outcomes. I cover the FB regardless of whether or not the FB is a blocker. There's only one formation where I have an output based on a FB and I'm not sharing it.
