i dont even know how to set up tagging. i only ever had to tag when i played casual i think. that was a long time ago though. i know how to tag someone from the opposing team but i dont see an option in my custom D plays. is it in the actual AI Input?

I'd get your AI set up with all the tags and situations before you make all those plays.

ughh couldnt decide which to do first. i was just so excited to make plays. alright ill go through the AI first and maybe thatll help make sense of all this.

okay so base the plays off of the tagged players instead of what i think they will run?

so make inputs for rushing QB, powerbacks,scatbacks,blocking TE etc?

If you are making multiple plays for the same formation and for different tags, I would include the 'tags' in the play name or group them together.

For instance, in the plays that I linked the two plays are called:

Y I RTE1
Y I RTE2

They both belong to a package called Y I RTE. The "Y" is code for Passing QB/RTE in my d plays. You will eventually have so many that it makes sense to call them by a certain name in order to easily find the play you are looking for in order to fix any issues you have with it.

It's an option, but not 100% necessary. You can be as extensive as you want in your tagging/inputs.

Yeah. Think about what the tags will mean to you.

If a passing QB is in with a Blocking TE and a Power HB on short yardage you are likely going to want a different play than
if a passing QB is in with a Receiving TE and a scatback.

What plays are they likely to call? Is it a short yardage situation?

The number of plays that you will have to create will be based on the number of different situations you think you need a new play to stop something.

Also, when I tag a blocking TE it doesn't mean that I am not going to cover that player, it means that the LB that is in on that play goes from a coverage LB to a Power LB. The Power LB is better matched both in coverage and versus the run.

You need to know what weapons you have on defence as well. For instance, you can see from the plays that I called that the ROLB was set to blitz and nothing else. If I think the QB/RTE combo is going to lead to a pass, I want to make sure that I have someone getting pressure on the QB (because I'm using a lot of single coverage... if the QB has time, he has a good chance of making a completion).

okay thanks guys. Also, am i able to somehow put who i want in on certain plays? If i only want the blitzing LB in on 3rd and long, am i able to put that in my AI instead of just leaving him at ROLB all game?

Yeah there is custom slots for the LB positions along with NT.

Exactly. And if you go crazy on the number of inputs, you can potentially make it a nightmare to find out when a play is going to breakdown because you've seen it twice all season.

Big I and Singleback Big I find are the worst because of the extra TE to tag.

BI RTEBTE PQB
BI RTERTE PQB

BI BTEBTE RQB
BI BTERTE RQB
BI RTEBTE RQB
BI RTERTE RQB

Or whatever you want to do... I limit my tagging to:

QBs (Passer or Rusher)
TEs (Receiver or Blocker)
HBs (Power or other)

Some people will also tag the FBs, but I find that is just too many different outcomes. I cover the FB regardless of whether or not the FB is a blocker. There's only one formation where I have an output based on a FB and I'm not sharing it.

yeah maybe i just wont tag the FB or else ill spend hours just figuring out what im doing. id have like 500 inputs.
